HILLSBOROUGH
The grounds getting nearer, the crowds getting larger, Trying to get to the match, You don't want to miss it, another win you wish it, Trying to get to the match.
You get to the turnstile, click, click, click, Trying to get to the match, The terrace you love it, nothing can beat it, Trying to get to the match.
The pushing, shoving, squeezing, rushing, Trying to get to the match, You can't escape it, nothing can stop it, Trying to get to the match.
People crying, people dying,
Trying to get to the match,
The pitch is a swarm; you can't climb the wall,
Trying to get to the match.
The death and devastation, it shocks the nation,
Trying to get to the match,
It's not meant to be like it, you can't understand it,
Please don't let it happen again!

UNLUCKY IN LOVE
Along life's lonely path, Once more I am left to tread, Always unable to find, That much sought after lasting love. Each and every new relationship, I treat as though it will be the one, Then all too soon, I am left, Once more, to pick up the pieces. Am I never to find that true happiness? That so many others seem to enjoy, Perhaps I am just unlucky,

Oh What A Sight
To look over the cliff top, So pure and white, The beauty of the sea, Oh what a sight.
To see the wild flowers, So colourful and bright, And the winding hillside paths, Oh what a sight.
To gaze on the meadows, At the fall of light, As the flocks settle down, Oh what a sight.
To witness bulls charging, With all of their might, Or horses galloping,
Oh what a sight.
To see the kestrel,
As it hovers in flight,
Or the kingfisher diving,
Oh what a sight.
To see people enjoying,
What is theirs by right,
Instead of destroying,
Oh what a sight.
All this could happen,
It isn't a dream,
But unless we change now,
A miracle it would seem.

WAITING FOR LOVE
Waiting, watching, hoping for a kiss, The moment the young couple think of bliss, Hand in hand strolling, almost cheek to cheek, Arm in arm cuddling, no time to speak.
Waiting watching, stopping for a kiss, The moment the couple think of bliss, Hand in hand, strolling cheek to cheek, Arm in arm cuddling, as they turn to speak.
Waiting, watching, looking for a kiss, The moment the old couple think of bliss, Hand in hand, strolling, almost cheek to cheek, Stopping momentarily as they turn to speak.
Waiting, watching, age it does't matter, Love, still makes the heart flutter,
Still touching, years later, as they take a leisurely stroll,
It is without doubt, love that makes you whole.
LOST IN A WORLD OF DREAMS
I'm lost again in a world of dreams,
Thinking about you it seems,
To me it appears that is all I do,
I just can't think things through.
You are always there by my side,
In everything I do, hitching a ride
In my field of dreams, so real
That your touch I can almost feel.
Not knowing where you are now,
Or even if you care, how
can I continue like this,
Dreaming of your tender kiss.
I'm told that memories fade with time,
But that just isn't true of mine,
They seem to get stronger every day,
More believable in every way.
Thinking of the times we shared, fleeting
Moments so short, yet creating
This everlasting impression,
The reason for this confession.
I remember everything about you,
Your face, your hair, your smile, all true.
The way you walk the way you stare,
I can see you, eyes open or closed you are there.
The way you looked at me your voice,
And now you see I have no choice
At all, I just can't forget,
It was pure destiny that we met.
My life just cannot move on,
Without you the meaning of life has gone,
To share your smile, your touch, your kiss,
There could be nothing more special than this.
Where ever I am and whatever I do,
My thoughts they are always of you,
Watching the sea, or walking through a weald,
Sitting with my thoughts in a beautiful Greenfield.
I'm lost again in a world of dreams,
Always thinking only of you it seems,
There is no way my feelings I can excuse,
What I'm trying to say is I still love you.

A Winters Day
A sullen grey wintry sky, The trees almost bare, Whose glossy leaves shed, A bronze carpet on the ground.
Birds flittering in the hedgerow, Pecking at the abundance of red berries, Squirrels darting from tree to tree, Looking to hide a winters hoard.
A friendly Robin stealing a grub, Singing that merry tune, A mist from peoples' mouths, On that cold and frosty morn.
Ducks waddle across the ice, Their source of food is covered,
Flakes of snow gently fall,
Blanketing distant fields.
The horizon assumes such an eerie look,
As the grey sky merges with snow covered fields,
On that winters day oh so cold,
When it snowed and snowed and snowed.

HAIKU
Rose so sweet and soft, Whose thorns try to warn me off, But whose scent traps me.
Oh tongue of desire, A feast to behold your love, Come and quench my thirst.
Misty Today
The mist in my head, Just wont go away, It's clouding my thoughts, In every which way. It's there in the morning, And still there at night, This mist in my head, Is clouding my sight.
I once saw things clearly,
And everything looked bright,
Then you came in to my life,
And dimmed the light.
You changed the way I felt,
And made me worship you,
You changed everything about me,
And put my life in a stew.
But then they came and took you,
They had to put you away,
Free once again to live my own life,
Things will improve but it's misty today.

I Never
I've never known love before Not for a day, an hour or even a second,
But now that I've found love
It is something that I'd recommend.
I've never know the pain of love before
And how it hurts me when we are apart,
But although I don't like being away from you
I love the intensity when the healing starts.
I never knew what being in love meant before
It's a feeling I could never comprehend,
A feeling that's changed my whole life now
And I never want it to end.
I never knew there was anyone like you before
So sweet, so gentle, so pure
It would appear that I've fallen under your spell
And I'm hoping that there is no cure.
I've never experienced such a sensuous love before
It's a feeling I never knew could start,
I love you, is all I have to say to you
But those words come from deep in my heart.
I never realised before I met you
Just what was missing from my life,
I know I could never live without you
Please will you be my wife.
WHY?
Why did we sit and watch you cry? Why did we change that young girl so shy? Why didn't we see that you were protected? Why didn't we see how you felt so neglected? Why couldn't we show you the love you craved? Why couldn't we save you from an early grave? Why was it that you couldn't fulfil your true potential? Why was it when to us you were always so special? Why did we hurt you with constant criticism? Why did we not see that as an ambassador you'd risen? Why when you wanted space were you so hounded? Why when you made a stand were we so astounded? Why were we slow to give you a hand? Why were we forcing you from your land?
Why did you have to leave us why oh why?
Why did somebody say that you had to die?
