ABOUT YOU

I look upon your face
as you clutch the phone
to your ear, and I wonder,
wonder what beauty lies within.
For I know you
but still you are a stranger
Your smile I see
every moment of the day
But I have never seen you frown
Your eyes so bright
but what hides behind them
I know your actions, the way
you move,the way you talk
I hear your voice, it mesmerises me
But I don't really know you,
Does it bother me? Yes
For I want to know you,
to know everything about you.
I want to see you, touch you,
I want to be with you,
to laugh with you
through the good times,
and to comfort you,
through the bad.
To be there with you,
when you need me,
to wipe a tear from you eye.
to mop your brow,
when you have a fever
to take care of you,
when you are ill,
and to have fun with you,
when you are well,
and to love you forever.

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS

Before the dream fades,
When the sun sets red,
Tears still follow,
The contours of your cheeks,
Surely it wasn't meant to be like this.
Your bed is a mess,
But you are alone,
Feeling the pain deep inside,
Broken once again to tears,
Why does it have to be like this.

WITHOUT YOU,

What is love without you?
Nothing but a four lettered word,
That is used far too often,
To have any lasting meaning.

What is life without you by my side,
Nothing but a four lettered word,
That is empty and meaningless,
And not worth living .

What is hope without your touch,
Nothing but a four lettered word,
Which brings home the stark reality,
Without you, there is nothing.

POT of GOLD

So many years have passed me by,
Still the tears I shed for you won’t dry,
Day by day the years unfold,
But my love for you will not grow old.

My thoughts are of you, I cannot lie,
Even though my dreams are just pie in the sky,
How I wish now, that I had been bold,
For my world without you is oh so cold.

Oh how I wish I could fly,
Back in time for my tears to dry,
To see you again, a joy to behold,
A second chance to love you, a joy untold.

Alas these tears for you I’ll cry,
If only I hadn’t been so shy,
I feel like a Leprechaun, my life’s on hold,
In you I lost my pot of gold.
